Terms of Service
Effective June 5, 2026
These terms describe the basic rules for using Light of Day. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
What Light of Day Is
Light of Day is a reflective tarot and journaling tool. It is meant to support self-reflection, writing, and creative interpretation.
Not Professional Advice
Light of Day does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. Tarot readings and AI-generated interpretations may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for important decisions. Please seek qualified help for serious or urgent situations.
Your Content
You are responsible for the questions, notes, reflections, and other content you enter. You should not enter content you do not have the right to use, and you should avoid storing highly sensitive personal information.
Accounts and Continuity
Google connection is optional. If you connect Google, Light of Day uses the minimum needed to recognize your account and support cross-device continuity. Your local browser journal remains controlled by the browser and the app's local import, export, and delete controls.
Availability
Light of Day is provided as an early and evolving service. Features may change, pause, or stop working. We may update, limit, or discontinue parts of the app at any time.
Acceptable Use
Please do not misuse the app, attempt to break or overload the service, bypass security controls, scrape data, or use Light of Day in a way that harms other people or violates the law.
AI Features
Some interpretations may be generated with AI. When you request an AI interpretation, the relevant text and card details are sent to an external AI model provider, such as Google Gemini or another provider we may use later.
AI output should be treated as reflective material, not factual authority. You are responsible for how you use or rely on any interpretation.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Light of Day is provided without warranties. We are not responsible for losses or damages arising from use of the app, inability to use the app, deleted data, service interruptions, or reliance on readings or AI-generated text.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. Continued use of Light of Day after updates means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are intentionally plain-language. They are not a substitute for legal advice.
